Well I am here to help! I will show you what products to use and my little tricks on how to get a manicure to last 7-10 days! Follow along below. I have even given you step by step pictures. Remember if you have ay questions post them below in the comment area and I will be sure to answer them as soon as I can.
Okay, let's get started! You will need the following items ~
1. Nail Polish Remover
2. A Paper Towel
3. A Nail Filer
4. Tape Of Any Kind
5. A Pair Of Scissors
6. Base Coat (any color, I chose Clear)
7. Your Favorite Nail Polish
(I chose Julep in Stella)
8. A Clear Top Coat
Step One
Use the nail polish to remove all nail oils, and left behind polish.
Step Two
Use your opposite thumb nail and push your cuticles as far back as they can go.
Step Three
Use your nail file and gently file your nail to remove any excess nail oil.
Step Four
Use you scissors and cut your tape into 3 strips (you will need to do this for each finger)
Step Five
Place the three strips of tape around the three sides of your finger. Remember to get the tape as close to your nail as possible. Take the top piece of tape and cover your cuticle without touching your nail.
Step Six
Use you selected base coat and cover your entire nail. Allow your base coat to dry.
Step Seven
Once your base coat is dry apply you favorite nail polish. Use one to two coats for full coverage. Allow your polish to dry.
Step Eight
Once your polish is dry, apply your chosen top coat. allow it to dry before moving on to the next step.
Step Nine
Once your top coat is dry remove all of the tape from around your finger.
By using the fail file to remove the excess nail oil you are allowing the polish to stick to your nail for longer wear. By doing this one simple step you are allowing your polish to last 4 to 7 days longer than with out filing first. A good top coat will ensure less chips and longer wear. I suggest using Top Secret base coat and top coat. They work just like a gel top coat with out having to use a UV lamp.
Hope you have enjoyed the tutorial and you enjoy you fresh, last, longing manicure!
