We Choose Virtues

Teaching our young children the main virtues of life is vital to a better tomorrow. As a mother, a Aunt and a Sunday school teacher, I know the importance of showing our young children which path to take. At We Choose Virtues they provide parents and teachers alike with the specific tools and programs to further their children's education in many ways.

Their 12 Virtues flash card pack is safe to use in public schools along in private and religious ones. I personally use my flash cards in my Sunday school class room. I Like the fact that each card is in full vibrant colors which helps to catch the eye of young children and keep them interested. Anther nice feature is the on the back of each card. They basically break it into sections for you, making it easier to teach each card and it's importance.

On the Back of each card you will find 5 sections. The first section is the "Teaching Tip" section. Here you will find a few suggestive sentences you may use when explaining the meaning of the card to your class room or children. The next section will be "Virtue User Challenge" Here you will find a suggestion as to what you should do that day. For example on the "Content" card your challenge would be to go through the entire day without saying "I am bored"  or "I want". You will also find a "You will Need" section, "What to say after "I'm Sorry" and a "Fun demonstration" section.

All in all these cards are great! It is a fun ay to get each and every child in your life leaning more on self control and how to become a better person for a better tomorrow. After all our young children are the future of tomorrow and if we do not teach them right from wrong who will?

Super Bright Craziness!

When my boys started getting older I could see their imagination slipping away. They are now 12 and 13 and it has been hard for me to find a product that can get their imagination station working again. Yoga Obsessed -Yoga Design Lab

Yes I am completely and utterly Yoga obsessed! I m told the first step is admitting I have a problem! My house is almost overwhelmed with yoga everything! I have tried a ton of different mats most of them cause slipping or just fall apart after a month or so. I am always looking for a mat that will keep up with me. I do my yoga routine twice daily at home and 8 times a month at the gym. Finding a good mat is crucial.


When I was asked to test the Yoga Design Lab Premium Yoga Mat with Carrying Strap I was super excited! When it came in the mail I was like a giddy child on Christmas morning! The Yoga Design Lab Mat is made memory foam. Which allows the mat to be light weight and non-slip. I love the feel of the mat under my feet. It is very soft and the grooves within the mat allow me to stand firm on place with out slipping or falling. The color is mutual so can be used for men or women. I love the car strap. It makes it easy to pick up and take with me no matter where I go! This is the only Yoga mat I will use and recommend!

BoBee Wall Decals

I love decorating my home. Every chance I get I buy new home items and redecorate. One product I absolutely love buying are wall decals! BoBee Inc. makes lovely wall decals specifically for nurseries. Even though my children are 12 and 13, BoBee Inc. You are My Sunshine decal worked perfectly in their room over their television.


The decal came in a cute tube (not using a big package for a smaller product which is a + in my book). The decal itself was super easy to apply and took all of 5 minutes to apply and abut 10 minutes to clean the area of the wall I wanted to apply the decal.

I started by using a natural made household cleaner and a sponge and cleaned the area of the wall I was going to use. I let it dry for about 5 minutes. I then opened the tube that held the wall decal and unrolled it. I then proceeded to pull off the top layer revealing the sticker itself.

 I then peeled off a bit of the back paper then placed the sticky part of the decal and carefully placed it where I needed it. I did use a credit card to help smooth the wall sticker on to the wall making sure there were no bubbles. This took all of five minutes to do. It is that simple.

I then added two candle sconces to give it a more "grown up" look. I am very pleased with how it turned out not to mention how easy it was to achieve!

A Day at the Dog Park

  Yesterday we decided to take a family outing to the near by dog park in Dothan Alabama. This place is very pretty and equipped with every thing you need for a family day out! They have recently built two huge dogs parks that are separated by dog size and are fully fenced in. They provide a wading pool, sprinklers, tunnels, a water fountain and toys for your fur babies to enjoy.

  It was Maria's first time in a car and it did not go so well. She wasn't sure what to do with herself. All she did know was there was so much to explore outside of the car and needed to figure a way out! Needless to say she was not successful.

  While Miss. Honey has had many puppy play dates she has never been around that many dogs at one time. At first she was shy sitting upon my lap refusing to move, but once she seen how much fun Maria was having she joined right in! Every one adored her new puppy Mohawk.

While my husband Miguel and my eldest son Hayden went fishing in the pond Skyler and I took the dogs on the 2 mile walking trails.

 

 

Maria seriously enjoyed herself. Stopping to smell just about everything she could find. Even though she had just spent two hours playing with other random dogs she could not resist trying to bite her pup sister Miss. Honey!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We all had a lovely day. The weather was perfect, the dogs enjoyed themselves and the big boys enjoyed there day fishing. We were all pretty exhausted from the hours of fun. Maria passed out as soon as we walked in the door.


 

 

 

 

 

Even Miss. Honey Could not stay awake after all of the excitement from the day.
